









A Garden Party was held at the British Ambassador’s Residence in Paris on the 15th of June 2011 in honour of the Queen’s birthday party. AngloINFO Paris was lucky enough to be invited.
Gérard Longuet, the French Minister of Defense gave the toast to the Queen and Sir Peter Westmacott, Her Majesty’s Ambassador to France toasted the French President – Nicolas Sarkozy. Entertainment was provided by a Gurkha band.
2500 guests (diplomats, business people as well as key members of the British community in France) enjoyed a typical British garden party in the beautiful garden of the Residence.
Karen Dys, AngloINFO Paris franchisee, said: “It is always a great honour to be invited to this event, which is held every two years. It is the first garden party of the season and a wonderful way to kick off the summer, to meet new people as well as to catch up with others!”
