AngloINFO Bulgarian Black Sea Supports Local Orphanage Garden Party

AngloINFO Bulgarian Black Sea was proud to support the Orphanage Garden Party on Saturday the 1st October held at the beautiful city of Silistra right next to the Danube river. English couple Berni and Dougie Leggett worked relentlessly to make the day a success and were able to present to the children many boxes donated from people including major sponsors such as Tesco and Gap. The children performed music and dance routines, a Bulgarian group provided music and Mike Bond (Sinclair), a contestant on the Bulgarian “X Factor”, performed some of his popular songs. Party guests enjoyed games including a tombola, guess the weight of the cake, and a raffle. The food for the BBQ was donated by a local English food provider and the burgers were superb! The event was covered by a Bulgarian TV company and recordings were done for a radio presentation. At the last count a total of 2,000 leva was raised for the orphanage but there are still events ongoing. Well done to everyone for a great day, especially to the children for making us so welcome.
