Medical Emergencies: 24hr Hospitals, Doctors, Pharmacies on the French Riviera

There is no guarantee that any English will be spoken on any of these emergency and helpline telephone numbers. 

The caller must:

1. State the location where assistance is needed 

2. State their name and telephone number

3. State what happened, and if it is still happening 

4. State how many people need help

5. State if there are weapons involved

All emergency numbers can be reached from pay phones, without the use of a phone card or money.

Emergency Medical Facilities 

Nice Central Police has a tourist department where interpreters are available 08:00-12:00, and 14:00-16:30 daily:  04 92 17 20 31.

• Town pharmacies operate on an after-hours rota. Details are available at your local pharmacy. In case of an emergency, the details of the nearest after-hours pharmacy are usually posted on the door.

Accueil Femmes Solidarité is a sanctuary for victims of domestic abuse - battered women - in Nice (address available to victims only).

All services are neutral, confidential and aim at helping the victim to find the appropriate service. 
Access is provided to information and help on: 

• social rights - professional re-integration, lodging.
• juridical rights - information, advice and assistance regarding interests in the case of legal action.
• medical rights - (re)opening of health rights - universal medical insurance, CMU (Couverture Maladie Universelle) and CPAM psychological help (group and individual sessions).
