A cultural evening with a British and Celtic theme

British and Celtic Cultural Evening

Saturday 24th March 2007
In the Cultural Salon de Thé at 19:30

An evening designed to allow British and Irish enterprises, associations and individuals to share their experiences, promote their organisations, and to make new social and commercial contacts.

THE PROGRAMME

A meal, guest speakers, and a band who will play at the event.

At the same time, celebrate British and Irish cultures and customs, and the links between Britain, Ireland and France, through music, debates and sport.

THE MEAL

There will be either a buffet or a sit down meal (price to be confirmed). The food will be Moroccan and Vietnamese cuisine. The event is available only to those who reserve a place 2 days in advance, so that we are able to prepare the food for the number of people attending.

THE PEOPLE

We are also looking for people to come and talk about their experiences and perception of living/working, and running a business in France. For example, what are the principal problems and challenges of running a business in France? How can these challenges be overcome?

We would like to know if people would like to attend, and if so how many places they would like to reserve. Once we know this we can send out formal invitations with more detailed information about the meal and the event.

The evening’s purpose remains to allow individuals, associations and businesses to share their experiences, promote their organisations, and to make new social and commercial contacts. The emphasis remains on British and Irish themes but is open to all nationalities.

THE ORGANISER

The event is organised by Coup de Pouce Avenir, a non-profit association with the mission to inform, orientate, accompany and give help to people in demanding and difficult situations. It organises cultural events on a variety of themes, using the Cultural Salon de Thé.

The Cultural Salon de Thé is available to people of all socio-cultural groups, and provides a way to generate revenue so that the running costs of the association can be secured, and in order to help children and help women who are isolated.

The Association’s objectives are three fold:

  • To promote the development of education
  • To do humanitarian work
  • To promote cultural exchanges
