Centro Ciencia Viva de Lagos

Forte Ponta da Bandeira - Lagos Fort
One of the finest 17thC Forts built along the coast to protect against raiders. Situated at the end of the canal across a moat, has a museum to Portuguese discoveries. Open Tues-Sun 10:00-12:30 & 14:00-17:30 except bank hols. Standard ticket 3€

Faro Jewish Heritage Centre
Jewish Sephardi heritage site exhibiting relics from the two defunct Faro synagogues of the 19th and 20th century and a copy of Gacons 1487 Pentateuch in Hebrew. Judaica, books, videos and souvenirs. Next to the hospital on Rue Leao Penedo, Faro.
