Alcazaba Cultural Program
Family workshops will be held each Sunday at the Moorish fortification,the Alcazaba monument in Almeria city, commencing 11:00. Anyone interested in participating can telephone to book a place.
Cuevas Castle - Cuevas del Almanzora
This castle was built in the 16th century by the Marquis of los Velez . Originally an Moorish fortification. The castle is well preserved and therefore sometimes used for concerts. Open daily.
La Alhambra Museum
This museum contains Hispano-Moorish works of art from the 9th to the 16th centuries, including ceramics, wood and metals. Section of Oriental Moorish art. Open 09:00-14:00 Tuesday to Saturday. In the Palace of Carlos V. within the Alhambra.
Alhambra Guided Tour
Comprehensive, non technical 3 hour guided tour of the Alhambra. Based at Granada Travel Center Gran Via de Colon 41, 18394 Granada.
Arab fortress built by the Calph of Cordoba, Abd-er Rahman 111 with three huge walled enclosures. Free entrance. Opening April to October 09:00-20:30 and November to March 09:00-18:30. Closed Monday, Christmas and New Year. Calle Almanzor.

Parque de las Ciencias

Cabo de Gata Nijar natural park
A wild and isolated landscape with some of Europes most original geological features. The visitor centre is Los Amoladeras, between Retamar and San Miguel de Cabo de Gata on the AL822 at Km 7.

Memoria de Andalucia Museum
One of the largest landmarks in the city, this museum is a showcase for regular art exhibitions and musical performances. Library, cafe and restaurant facilities. Open Tuesday to Saturday 10:00-20:00 and Sundays and Bank holidays 10:00-14:00.
Aquaola Water Park
Water park with all the usual facilities including a pirates ship for the kids. Changing facilities, sunbathing and picnic area with snacks and self service restaurant. Open every day June to September. Closed Sundays. 11:00-20:00. Cenes de la Vega.

Lori Sexi Exotic Bird Park
Bird park with a large collection of wild and exotic birds. In the summer months the park holds parrot shows for the children. Open daily 11:00-14:00 and 18:00-21:00 through the summer and 11:00-14:00 and 16:00-18:00 in the winter. Calle Bikini.
Arab Baths and Tea rooms
