We are going to buy a new BBQ for the summer and can't quite decide what type to get. What are everyones thoughts on the pros/cons of gas or charcoal?
I'd go for charcoal if you only bbq on occasion, and gas if you do it regularly, as it would save you buying loads of bags of charcoal.
The problem with gas is you don't get the same smoky flavour that you do with coals, I always think that you may as well just be cooking in the kitchen if you use gas...
I prefer gas BBQs, they are cleaner and quicker. We use ours much more often than the charcoal one we previously had.
