Hi, is anyone driving back to the UK in the next couple of weeks who could possibly offer a lift to my (non flying!) husband. He needs to get home to bring back a vehicle here. He's heading for Cheltenham but a lift to somewhere with a station or a coach would be great! thanks
Hello , I am looking for somewhere - a field -near Amsterdam or anywhere in Holland really to leave my little car for three months while me and hubby take our boat from Amsterdam to SW France where we live. We have thought of coming by train but with two dogs it would be much more convenient to bring the car - plus we can do shopping and whatever else we need to do before leaving . If anyone can help I'd be really grateful - maybe you'd like a trip on our boat or a holiday in our cottage in France in exchange ? Sue
I need to leave my car at Schipol for a week, should I use the airport car park or can anyone recommend a service that will park it in a secure compound off site and drop you at the airport. My wife will be picking the car up from them when she returns from a trip - is that possible or does it have to be me who picks it up? Flights are really early ones both mine going and hers coming in.
If you are having difficulty to the UK or anywhere else due to the volcano there is a website where people are listing space in vehicles travelling all around Europe and beyond. If there is not one that meets your requirements you can also post your journey requirements and if anyone is going your way they can contact you. There are lots of postings so it is worth a try. http://www.roadsharing.com/
Has anyone any knowledge of selling a previous uk reg vehicle (now Dutch reg) to a buyer in the uk. The person will have no problem at their end re-registering it, but I would like to know what I have to do at this end regarding de-registering it. I heard a tale about someone who had left their car in the UK for their son but was fined for letting the tax run out here.
