I will be taking up a contract job in Antwerp for about 3 months and would ideally like to rent an apartment, as it's too long to stay in hotels. Any suggestions for an agency welcomed.

A new campaign group has recently formed in the UK called WASPI (Women Against State Pension Inequality Campaign) to "seek fair transitional arrangements for all women born on or after 6th April 1951 who have unfairly borne the burden of the increase to the State Pension Age (SPA). Hundreds of thousands of women have had significant changes imposed on them with a lack of appropriate notification. The 1995 Conservative Government’s Pension Act included plans to increase women’s SPA to 65, the same as men’s. Women Against State Pension Inequality (WASPI), agree with equalisation, but don’t agree with the unfair way the changes were implemented – with little/no personal notice (1995/2011 Pension Acts), faster than promised (2011 Pension Act), and no time to make alternative plans. Retirement plans have been shattered with devastating consequences." A crowdfunding exercise raised enough to pay for legal advice and barristers are currently considering potential action. A petition has been signed by more than 21,000 people since the 20th October. Yesterday it was announced that the Parliamentary Select Committee for Work and Pensions will be seeking submissions from women born in the 50's. "The Work and Pensions Committee have launched an inquiry into the new State Pension introduced in April 2016. Concerns have been raised that many of those who will be affected by the changes do not know enough about the changes or exactly what they will mean for their pensions." More details here http://www.parliament.uk/business/committees/committees-a-z/commons-select/work-and-pensions-committee/news-parliament-2015/state-pension-launch-15-16/ I am sure that there are many of you (like me) who are affected by these changes. You may want to consider signing the petition and asking your family and friends to do the same herehttps://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/110776 You can find more information about the campaign and read some of the heartbreaking stories about women who have been left without the money they are entitled to herehttps://www.facebook.com/WASPI-Women-Against-State-Pension-Inequality-Campaign-877054125688402/?fref=ts Please pass this information to the women you know who were born in the 50's!

....... from going to watch the tennis and am so glad that it has not been cancelled by the security alert.  I have carried on my daily life both at work and home as normal.  I refuse to live in fear - anyone else feel the same?

I have to go to Brussels tomorrow. Do we know if the train services are running normally, in view of the security crackdown over the weekend?

Due to the current security level, we would advise that you check with the venue or event organisor before travelling to ensure that the venue is open or the event has not been cancelled or rescheduled..

I'm planning to travel to London on Friday by way of Eurostar. Does anyone know if there are any serious delays for security checks, following the dreadful events of last week? (I may need to get an earlier train from Antwerp > Brussels)

Just been looking back through AngloInfo Antwerp's Facebook page ( https://www.facebook.com/AngloINFO.Antwerp/?fref=ts )  and came across an entry from last December with a picture of the Christmas Market - it brought back some fond memories of the night that we took some friends to it who were visiting from the USA   Not sure what date it starts this year but I shall certainly pay a visit (or two)

Friends are flying in to visit in December and as I am at work when they arrive at Charloi Airport they are going to get the train, does anyone know how long it takes and is it direct or will they have to change anywhere?

I recently upgraded to Windows 10. All OK but I have been reading on the internet that some anti virus software is not working with Windows 10.    I am after a new anti virus, internet security and stop spam etc etc and wanted to put on Avast Pemier or Bitdefender.  Anyone know please?

Surely it is time to look at more sustainable energy such a solar and wind farms than risking nuclear power plants being built and potential accidents such as the one on Saturday at Doel.  Was not Chenoyble a big enough warning for every Government?
