Hi, Can a non-resident open a bank account?

You can open a non-resident account in most spanish banks. You just need a passport. I would try solbank or la caixa.

Can definitely recommend La Caixa, really easy to open the account and very friendly.

There's just been a new ruling - or at least, tightening up of an old ruling - that non-residents need a certificate of non-residence for tax when they open an account. But the bank will be able to explain that I think, they may provide the forms. You'll find lots of useful info here: Opening a Bank Account

Sol bank seem to be the best and there English in most branches is perfect. Goodluck
