Charming, majestic, surreal. We call it earth and it is full of magic. Magic, which proudly reveals itself as soon as we start paying attention. Soon I am going to present a selection of photographs in a solo exhibition "Small World". Four rooms, four themes and many forms of nature encountered in our environment. Opening concert and vernissage are free and will take place on the 10th of January. Everyone is invited to drop by, say hi, have a peek at the photos and enjoy the concert! For those wanting to enjoy country music, try the Western Saloon in Reinickendorf. It offers a country-western atmosphere complete with American food, live music, and line dancing. They even offer line dancing lessons. People eating here go as far as dressing up in outfits and cowboy hats.

I've just seen a show advertised here on AngloInfo: http://berlin.angloinfo.com/whatson/event/7081/the-last-picasso. I saw a preview performance in February last year in Hamburg, with some of the St Pauli Football team in the choir. It was a great show and John Watts is a very talented and inspired musician. You should definitely not miss this!
A Cabaret Story, the show, which tells the history of cabaret from its roots in Paris in 1881 to its demise under National Socialism in Berlin in 1933 is looking for a permanent home on a monthly basis. Does anyone know of a cafe bar, small space with piano that would be suitable to house such a show on a monthly basis. We´re trying to develop this show so it becomes a permanent visitor attraction for English speaking visitors to Berlin. The location is important. If you know of any spaces that would be interested in this kind of opportunity then please drop us a line. Look forward to hearing from you. Best A Cabaret Story Team
I will be visiting Berlin city center Dec. 29-Jan. 2 and I have looked at some museums online but they all sem to have an 8€ entrance fee! Are there any existing exhibits that are free? I live in Madrid and there are loads so I am hoping that Berlin being a large city too can have some available.
He lives in Berlin, I live outside of Germany. I don't know about the radio stations that play in Germany. Can someone please advise me how and where can I place a request (via email preferred) to play a song on my guy's b'day at any of the stations? I want to plan this as a surprise for him. Can you please also suggest a nice/popular love song in German? I can't speak or understand German :) I appreciate any help offered here. Thanks for reading this :) :)Love and peace.
A brand new English language feature film will be shot this summer in Berlin and you can be part of it. We are a group of independent artists releasing our feature film exclusively in independently owned movie theatres worldwide on December 14, 2012. Entitled The End is Near, the film will be the last ever apocalyptic film released in connection with the upcoming end of the Mayan calendar on December 21, 2012. We have developed a unique relationship with thousands of independent cinemas. With the release of the first movie, a 50/50 ticket split between theatre owners and the filmmakers will ensure both sides a profitable endeavour. We have already secured 1,000 potential participating independent movie theatres but the aim is to have 3,000 cinemas within the next few months. The film is releasing across America, Africa, Brazil, England, Germany, Netherlands, Austria, New Zealand, Australia and other countries are being added every day. The film will be shot entirely in Berlin but we have an international cast from over 10 countries including Arndt Schwering-Sohnrey in the lead, alongside Janin Stenzel. With hundreds of independent theatres closing their doors due to the high cost of releasing first run movies, we have decided it is time to go back to the grass roots that once allowed the artistic expression of filmmakers to flow and independently owner theatres to thrive. Or message me if you would like to support this feature or be involved in this exciting opportuntity. Every little helps. Hi Everyone! Each year for the past nine years I have organized a Thanksgiving Benefit Dinner and Concert in Berlin. The audience is very diverse with Americans, Germans and about 25 other nations represented at the dinner table. I would like to know where you come from and if and how you celebrate Thanksgiving in Berlin? And how does it compare to how you celebrated before you came to Berlin? What makes this American holiday special to you?
