Hi! I am not from Germany and not very clear on the pet laws over there. I apologise in advance if I hurt anyone's emotions unknowingly, I don't intend to. I need a cute small pet (dog/cat/rabbit) in Berlin for a few hours that can carry a small message for me to be conveyed to my guy who lives in Berlin and is upset with me. Buying and gifting a pet doesn't seem to be a good idea because I know that he can't keep one. But I think this is cute way to express what I feel and might make him talk with me. I need help if someone wants to do this favour for me. Is this possible? Can this be arranged? Thanks in anticipation! xxx

The animal protection organization ‘Deutsch-Bulgarische Strassentier-Nothilfe’ (a German Bulgarian rescue organization for stray dogs) is looking for people flying from Bulgaria (Sofia, Varna) to Germany (no matter to what airport) to help transfer dogs. Airlines transporting animals are Lufthansa and Air Berlin (Bulgarian Air Charter and Air Via don't transport animals anymore). The entire organization and formalities in Bulgaria at the airport, as well as in Germany, will be done by members of Deutsch-Bulgarische Strassentier-Nothilfe. You will have no costs, no longer waiting times and must not be earlier at the airport when you leave Bulgaria. The dogs will be welcomed by members of the rescue organization at the airport in Germany and driven to their new homes. You could help the dogs move to their forever home as soon as they have the opportunity to leave the country. The dogs are microchipped and vaccinated.Look here for more information: http://www.db-tierhilfe.de/flugpaten-gesucht.phpPlease contact us and we will provide you with further details. Thanks in advance.Phone: 0049 (0)6633/919865 or email: dt-bgtierhilfe.dimitrov@t-online.de

We are searching for people who are flying from Cyprus to Germany to help us transfer dogs. We are an organisation that find homes for stray Cyprus dogsOur dogs are delivered direct into the hands of their new forever homes. We can home more dogs than we have space for on the flights we have available and therefore we are searching for people who would take one or more dogs with them on their flight as excess baggage. There is no cost or inconvenience to the traveller. We bring the dogs to the airport in plenty of time, we take care of all the formalities, and see to the loading of the dogs. When you arrive at your destination the dogs will be met and handled by our people who will be expecting them. Dear dog-loving travellers, please consider our request and help us in this way. email nuschka.leni@googlemail.comhttp://hundeliebe-grenzenlos.de/

Hi there! We're looking to adopt a rescue dog - we had one years ago from the Blue Cross in Britain and feel we could give a dog a good home. Can anyone point us in the right direction? Are there similar places to Dogs Trust, Blue Cross etc and where are they? Thanks

A friend of mine just informed me just probably is not able to take care of my cat as much as need during the holidays - my cat is getting old and a bit grumpy because I visit my girlfriend in the States too often for her taste.I am in desperate need of somebody who could take care of her over the upcoming holidays, and give her company every day for a little while. I live in Kreuzberg.I would be willing to exchange cat-sitting services and take car of your cat too. If anybody's interested, please let me soon.

I appreciate any information anyone has re. tips on selling pets, small-pet shelters etc etc, friends you have who may love rabbits... Thanks! :)

I got two guinea pigs farily recently and they live happily on the balcony. I cover the hutch at night with tarpaulin cover, but someone told me I should get an insulated cover when the temperature starts to really drop at night. Anyone got any experience/advice - where can I buy one? I can't bring them inside but I am worried about what to do with them over winter.
