The Bank of Cyprus announced that it is pursuing a listing in the Premium segment of the main market of the London Stock Exchange. If this does indeed become a reality, the Bank of Cyprus will be the first financial institution from Cyprus to list in a major stock exchange.
The Bank is expected to maintain its listing on the Cyprus Stock Exchange but to terminate its listing on the Athens Exchange as the Bank has no longer activities in Greece.
This move represents a cornerstone in the history of the bank that just 3 years ago was under resolution. This listing is expected to take place in the second half of 2016 and it is of course subject to relevant approvals and market conditions.
