On Friday the 26th of February 2016, the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism in cooperation with the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry organised the Cyprus Export Awards event. At the event, President Nicos Anastasiades has given awards to seven Cypriot companies .
Cyprus’ exports increased by 11% in 2015 in relation to 2014. Domestic exports of goods increased from 617 million Euros in 2014 to 686 million Euros in 2015. Total exports of services reached 5.9 billion in 2015. This represents an increase of 4.5% compared to 2014.
President Anastasiades expressed his satisfaction and said that Cyprus will continue to focus on strengthening traditional markets and at the same time try to penetrate new markets in Asia.
