Do I LOOK Like I’m Pregnant?!?

People always say that pregnant women are “radiant,” “glowing” and “beautiful.” I’m not sure I agree either way, but the last 3 times I’ve been asked if I was pregnant didn’t make me feel like any of those things. Especially since I’M NOT PREGNANT.

This is not me!

The first time it happened was about a week after I had Baby E. We took my mother-in-law out to brunch (the only brunch we’ve ever gone to in Dubai) and a waitress decides to overstep her place in what could be classified as the worst customer service move ever.

I’m standing next to my husband who’s carrying our newborn in the carseat carrier when a waitress looks at me, looks at the baby, and says, “You’re already pregnant again?” REALLY lady? Is it your place to a) judge me, b) make a comment like that to a customer and c) SHUT UP!

As you can tell, I’m not completely over that run in with Little Miss Manners. But I’m proud to say after that I haven’t had anyone else ask me if I’m pregnant … Until 2 weeks ago while we were on vacation. Apparently 2 different people asked my mother-in-law and husband if I was pregnant. Crushing blow since I had actually lost 2 kgs during our holiday, but apparently I’m still massive.

I know I’m not super model thin and I don’t want to be. However I do realize I am overweight and I could use some toning up. As of today I’m 64 kgs (141 lbs) and I’d like to be 57 kgs (125 lbs).

Honestly I don’t think I can make it; I haven’t been that thin since 5th grade. I’ll probably only get to 59 kgs (130 lbs) because that’s my pre-baby weight (for all 3 babies actually).

Wish me luck!

By the way, fellow mommy blogger/Dubai expat Sandier Pastures recently wrote about her run-in with bad customer service and that’s what sparked this post.

According to her blog she’s on a weight loss mission as well. Maybe we should start a fitness challenge together! It’s always easier to stay committed to a fitness routine if you have a partner.
