It’s nearly time for the twice-yearly Hope Association booksale in Clussais-La-Pommeraie (79190). The association are looking for help getting the books out from Tuesday 9th May, getting the salle des fêtes ready for the booksale itself, and anyone who wouldn’t mind baking a cake or two to sell.
The booksale itself will take place on Friday 12th, Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th May 2017 in the salle des fêtes in 79190 Clussais-La-Pommeraie.
With thousands upon thousands of paperbacks, hardbacks, DVDs and CDs for sale, you’ll be spoilt for choice. With so many people dropping off donations of books, you’ll find most bestsellers as well as plenty of classics. If you’re looking to bolster your reading supply for summer, now is definitely the time to do it. With books in English and French, adults and children, fiction and non-fiction, there’s something for everyone.
At the Hope Café, you’ll find the usual hot drinks and home-baked goodies, both sweet and savoury. For those looking for something more substantial, you can pick up a hot bap from the food stand. Pois Chic and Mr T’s Fish and Chips will also be on site to give you the full gastronomic experience. Save some room for dessert!
With bric-a-brac, clothes, plants and Eddie’s hand-made cards on offer, as well as a range of products from our traders, you can also stock up.
Please stop by the local association stands as well to meet volunteers from the associations YOU help. You don’t have to adopt an animal, we promise (but they’ll be able to help you out if you do). It never hurts to remember why we hold these events and to see how your support helps our local animal community.
