If you or anyone in your family or your friends is a student between 15 and 25 years of age, you or they can benefit from a great new service, the ‘e-Pass Jeune’. It has been introduced in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region to encourage young people to develop their interest in culture by making it more accessible.
As well as stacks of information, subscribers can receive up to €60 by way of cinema seats (€12), or to see a show (€10) and another €10 for school activities or to buy books (28 €).
The e-Pass Jeune is supported by an app and website to signpost users towards suggested authors, venues and artists, for example exhibition openings (vernissage), book signings, previews of shows and other special events. There are also reductions or sometimes free places with certain partner organisations.
e-Pass Jeune card holders can share their experiences online on the Culturo website. Here they can keep a track of their expenditure account and find out what’s on, when and where in the region. There is also a telephone hotline to answer any queries: 03 87 78 78 22.
To sign up to the e-Pass scheme you will need to prove your age and provide proof that you are a student (certificat de scolarité). Registration is done online on the e-Pass website.
