It will soon be the French Summer Sales…Les Soldes!
Definitely not to be missed – a whole six weeks of sales. The dates are set twice a year by the French government and strictly controlled around what can be deemed a ‘sale’ item, how it is displayed, priced labelled and so on. Shop owners are not allowed to bring goods in especially for the sales, so that means you can shop, shop, shop for fabulous bargains in all the high street stores and online, with reductions up to 70%!
The dates for the Summer sales 2017 for most of France start on 28th June and end on the 8th August but there are some variations, one of which is Alpes-Maritimes (06) where as a border region, the sales start a week later at 08:00 5th July and end Tuesday 15th August. So put the dates in your diary now and join the French army of chineurs’– bargain hunters.
It’s worth noting as well that return policies are the same as for normal sales, although some companies may just give you a credit voucher.
