The Leuphana Universität Lüneburg and the Hamburg Media School (HMS) have designed a digital media bachelor course in English language: Leuphana president Sascha Spoun and Hamburg Media School CEO Professor Dr. Insa Sjurts signed the co-operation agreement on May 15.
Starting forthcoming winter semester, the universities will offer this 6 semester, co-hosted university course with strong international orientation, conveying theoretical and research background and practical knowledge of the digital media world.
In recent years, the Leuphana University has become a centre for digital media research while HMS is renowned for media education both in theory and practice.
The bachelor course will enable graduates to shape digital future. From internet culture to media economics: The curriculum comprehends many aspects of digital media. Classes in the main subjects are held in English language. The first 35 students will start classes in October, studying partly in Hamburg (major subjects) and partly in Lüneburg (all other subjects).
