Kai Teute and Lars Visser are responsible for bringing the first American style pizza store and delivery service to Hamburg. They operate the Hamburg branch as a franchise of the American company “Domino’s Pizza Inc.” – the first German franchisees in this international company. With a little helicopter they delivered the first pizzas – until tomorrow there will be special offers for new guests.

The Domino’s Pizza success story began in the USA over 50 years ago, when brothers Tom and James Monaghan opened the first Domino’s Pizza store in Ypsilanti, Michigan in 1960. The business was named “DomiNick’s” at that time. The name was changed to “Domino’s Pizza Inc.” in 1965. The first franchise store opened just two years later. By 1983, there were 1,000 franchise stores, including the first store outside the USA. In the meantime, Domino’s Pizza has become one of the leaders on the world’s market for pizza delivery service, with more than 10,500 stores in more than 75 markets.
