Long night of the museums in Hamburg

On Saturday, 54 Hamburg museums and exhibition halls open the doors for a night of guided tours, lectures, music, dance and food. The programme (in German) includes 680 single events and many exhibitions especially designed for this night. If you look for the event on the Lange-Nacht-der-Museen website, you can filter by time or programme type, and plan your tour.

There are various bus shuttle lines connecting the locations. Central traffic hub is the Dar-es-Salaam-Platz in HafenCity. Visitors can also commute by Stadtrad or take one of the Alster ships and harbour boats.

The organizer of the event, the Museumsdienst Hamburg (Museum’s Service) is expecting some 30.000 participants next Saturday at the Long Night of Museums. The event starts at 18:00,  and the last events finish at 2:00.

Tickets are €15 (€10 reduced price) and include the admission fee for all participating museums as well as for the bus transfers. Tickets can be purchased at the museums, at the Haspa branch Jungfernstieg, at the Tourist office at Hauptbahnhof,  at all advance booking offices, and online. Admission is free for children under the age of 12.

The website is only in German language: www.langenachdermuseen.de
