On Sunday: New HVV Timetable

On December 9, 2012 the new timetable for public transport in Hamburg is to start: More Bus lines and Ferry Connections

At this date, additional lines will start and offer better service especially for the harbour region and for new residential boroughs.

Here are the main changes:

  • New U 4 between Billstedt and Hafen City
  • New bus line 111 between Bahnhof Altona via Große Elbstraße, Reeperbahn, St. Pauli-Landungsbrücken, final stop U-Bahn station Überseequartier
  • Metrobuslinie 6 will serve Speicherstadt, Rathausmarkt, U-Bahn station Rödingsmarkt, Michaeliskirche, U-Bahn station St. Pauli, final stop Feldstraße
  • Metrobuslinie 3 will connect Rathausmarkt and Rothenburgsort at 10 minute intervals, improving the service for this neighbourhood
  • Bus line 112 will connect the new commercial area near Hammerbrookstraße

Ferries:

  • New ferry line 72 from Landungsbrücken to Elbphilharmonie at 30 minute intervals
  • New ferry stop on line 73 in Wilhelmsburg
  • Ferry line 62 cannot be used as circle line anymore, passengers have to get off at Landungsbrücken
