Public football screenings in Hamburg and the Area

Update Friday, 13 June:

Public viewing at the University: Organised by the Alumni of Hamburg University  organisation, selected games are shown in Audimax (main auditorium) at Von-Melle-Park 2, 20146 Hamburg. Admission one hour before the game starts. Drink and food available, please don’t bring your own beverages.

Knust are showing all the games open air on the  big screen video wall on Lattenplatz (Neuer Kamp 30, 20357 Hamburg.

Tonight these are:

18:00 Mexico v Cameroon

21:00 Spain v Netherlands

0:00 Chile v Australia

Update Thursday, 12 June:

Don’t miss the party at Afrikanisches Zentrum for the match Germany v Ghana: Intercultural Family Day and Public Viewing on Saturday, 21 June 2014, start: 4 pm, at Afrikanisches Zentrum @ Erlöserkirche Borgfelde, Jungestraße 7 (U/S Berliner Tor).

The biggest fan party in Hamburg  is on Heiligengeistfeld (see our blog here)

But of course there are many more opportunities to watch the world cup with friends and in a group. Tip: If you sympathize with the Portuguese or Spanish team, look out for a restaurant in the Portuguese neighbourhood near Landungsbrücken.

Neumünster, Justus-von-Liebig-Straße 2-4: Supporters celebrate at Holstenhallen, capacity 1000 to 2000 people, seats and  standing areas, admission €2, all matches with the German team

Fleetenkieker Irish Pub, Boersenbruecke 10, 20457 Hamburg (City Centre): The FIFA World Cup in Brazil kicks off this week and you can watch all the games live.
