This is the 20th anniversary of the Hamburg film festival, September 27-October 6, and you don’t want to miss it. This is a unique opportunity to watch over 140 international films, with more than 100 either in English or with English sub-titles. All have never been shown in Germany; many are celebrating a world premiere; many won prizes in other festivals.

Watch for feature films, documentaries, and also the children’s film festival which will start one day later and will be celebrating its 10th anniversary.
Hamburg cinemas hosting the event are Abaton, Cinemaxx Dammtor, Metropolis, Passage, 3001, B-Movie, and Studio Kino, you can pick up the complete schedule (in German, sorry to say) and tickets at any of these above-mentioned cinemas. Tickets are also available from at the ticket counter in the Levantehaus, Mönckebergstr 7, and will cost approximately Euro 7.50.
