Summer? What summer? Where's summer?

It’s so often the same old story.

The weather is in the mid 20-‘s in April and May in Switzerland, June goes down to 20 and everyone complains. Then the big whopper comes – July half of the country (including handymen and offices you are trying to call) goes on vacation and BOOM.

The temperatures drop between 15 and 20 degrees, the outdoor pools are empty, people take out their fall hiking gear and up the mountains they go trying to tire out their kids that they get a good night’s sleep.

Well, I did the same thing this week, off to Davos I went – thinking I would spend a couple of day with my hubby hiking around the lake of Davos, and take a ride up to Jakobshorn and hike back down and then this!

Yes folks, this picture was taken on July 20, 2011.

What about our picnic outside?

Settled for a hot gulasch soup instead.

The happiest traveller of the bunch, needless to say was Chili who would rather be in -2° weather than +20!

Oh well. Had a good day, great supper, found a cozy bar to keep up warm and dry and night and “pretended” it was November.

Have a sunny summer!
