I have been in Brittany fo 6 months and seem to be going around in circles regarding my rights to health car. I am 57 years old and married to a French national. My understanding is that -1/  I am no longer covered by the NHS and the EHC is no longer valid because I am now resident in France.2/ Because I am not a pensioner or working for a company I am not entitled to an S1.3/ Private health care insurance relies entirely on the health practitioners' willingness to fill in the appropriate forms in order to get any reimbursements.Am  I misunderstanding this ?Stephen

Hello.  I will be moving in a couple of months to Brittany with my Husband.  We are both Jersey born.  Would like advice please on how to go about getting medical insurance/health cover.  My husband has an on-going medical issue, which I know he would not be covered for, so not sure where to start!  Many thanks.   (We will not be working when living in France).

During a holiday in France last summer we spent around €200 on two hospital visits, both emergencies. (We have a French holiday home & French bank account but are not residents)I understand if I go the local CPAM with all the paperwork and EHIC card we are entitled to about 70% of this back? enough to make it worthwhile. This was for my wife not me, can I go and make the claim if I take her EHIC card? If not can it be done by post from the UK?Is there any time limit? Thanks for any advice...

HelloMy friend is probably going to have to have a hip replacement.  Please could someone let me know which hospitals are doing the replacment where you are only in for 24 hours as they do not cut the muscles.  I understand this is a new procedure and is carried out by the younger surgeons so any information would be usefulMany thanks

I wonder if anyone could recommend a good dentist in the region Rostrenen, Carhaix, Corlay.  Somebody suggested Dr. Le Gal in Quintin but unfortunately he has no vacancies until after July!!  Hubby is in need and we'd like to get signed on with somebody that has been recommended rather than take total pot luck.
