Hi there i was trying to get a ball park figure for removals from uk to finistere,we have not bought our home in finistere yet but trying to price up, some people say don't bring anything it's too expensive. I would not want to hire a van and diy , i would want the full packing service, but as I have not purchased my home ,it seems hard to get an idea,we are 90 miles from the ferry at Portsmouth and have standard 3 bed home contents. Grateful for being pointed in right direction

We have sold our much loved holiday home in St Lormel (22) and are now selling the furniture. We have posted much of it in the classified section here and also on Facebook market place but still have some items remaining. Can anyone recommend where we could try to sell these whether it be in an antique shop, brocante, depot vent  or other. We still have to sell our Antique Victorian (iron and brass) bed, pine Welsh dresser, pine table and chairs and a single bed with trundle bed. Any suggestions welcome! Thanks, Gemma

Hi! We are having a large ash tree cut down in our garden in England (where we have no open fire) and wonder if it is legal to bring logs from it to our home in Brittany to use in our wood burner. Does anyone know if there are any restrictions on bringing wood for fuel into France, please? Thanks

Hi everyone,We're exploring options for internet access in rural Brittany. The 4G signal round us is pretty good, so one of the options is a 4G wifi router using the Free Internet 4G 100Gb simcard. However, the advert says that the bandwidth is reduced if you don't use put the Simcard in a Freebox (which we don't need because we don't have a landline). Does anyone have any experience with how much the bandwidth is reduced?I need a solution that will allow video conferencing and almost constant use of cloud services like G-suite and Office 365.Many thanks,Mark

Hi, I am new to this as we are just buying our first home in France next week.  Wanted to know if anyone has any experience of hiring a van from one of the supermarket chains. We want to hire one for a few days to make a trip back to U.K. to collect some of our belongings, but not sure if they allow you to take it out of France. Can anyone help please?

Am looking to replace my decking boards very soon. Can anyone recommend a supplier, within 50km of Moncontour that specialises in these products? I'm not impressed with Leroy and although I've seen one good board at a reasonable price at Brico, I really would like to have a good choice at a fair price. Not interested in on-line companies as I would like to look at what I'm getting.CheersAlan
