Parc du Cinquantenaire
Informal park in the centre of Brussels housing the triumphal arch, which connects two stone buildings that make up Le Cinquantenaire. The main entrance is on avenue de Tervuren and rue de la Loi.

Not really a day out but essential viewing for any visitor to Brussels. The world famous peeing boy can be seen at the corner of Eikstraat/Stoofstraat near the Grand Place.

Les Brasseurs de la Grand Place
Working micro brewery where you can follow the brewing process and sample the finished product along with some local Belgian delicacies. Open daily from 10:00. Located in an old building on the Grand Place at rue de la Colline 24, 1000 Brussels.
Bozar - Centre for Fine Arts
Built in 1928 by the architect Victor Horta, it is a real centre of cultural and artistic life. Music, theatre, cinema, dance and guided tours of the building on Sundays from September to June at 12:00. Rue Ravensteinstraat 23, 1000 Brussels.
Centre Belge de la Bande Dessinee
The Belgian Centre for Comic Strips is housed in the Grand Magasin Waucquez, designed by Victor Horta. Original drawings including some by Georges Remi of Tintin fame. Open Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00-18:00. Rue des Sables 20, 1000 Brussels.
