I'm new to Brussels and I don't speak yet either Flemish or French but I would love to start learning French as soon as possible to fully 'fuction' in this city.Do any of you know of any language school either sponsored by the government/community centre or simply a very cheap school where to take a French language course near St. Gilles or Ixelles?I don't need something intensive, individual or very fancy I just want to be able to learn some basic French in a group.**********************************
Safety has and always will be the most important part of construction, renovations, and demolitions. Always having the best and most up-to-date equipment, as well as taking the necessary precautions, has saved countless lives throughout the years. These precautions are simple and easy things that you should always be sure to do. These precautions take just a few minutes to oversee but could make the difference when it comes to a safe demolition. Here are the top five safety precautions for demolitions.1: Equipment — Employees should always be knowledgeable of all aspects of work, regardless of their specialty or area of work. It’s important that each and every employee understands what equipment should be worn and present throughout the demolition. Make sure that each employee also knows and understands how to use each piece of equipment properly. This quick and simple sweep to make sure each employee has all the proper equipment required can help save lives and prevent any or all future injuries as you go throughout the demolition. In addition, make sure that each employee has a hard hat, as well as a mask, gloves, and work boots.2: Final sweep — Always do a final sweep before demolition begins. It’s absolutely recommended to go into each and every room, including closets, bathrooms, and hallways, to assure that everyone and everything is out of the building. It’s necessary to assure that each worker is out of the building and at a safe distance before demolition begins. Likewise, make sure that the building is monitored by employees to make sure that unauthorized people do not get close to the demolition site. If others are present, make sure all equipment is equipped and readily available to any newcomers. Assign someone to assure the final sweep has been made. Make sure that everyone knows who to report to. Once the final sweep is done, notify the person in charge. The demolition can then take place safely.3: Experienced and trained employees — It’s absolutely necessary that only trained and experienced employees handle the more dangerous and explosive materials. These employees should be qualified, professional, mature, and experienced enough to handle the responsibility and carefulness required by those handling explosives. These employees, if trained correctly, can help prevent accidents on the worksite.4: Brace ceilings and walkways — If for any reason anyone needs to enter the building, it’s necessary for every ceiling and walkway to be braced. This will easily provide extra support in case an accident occurs, helping prevent a huge amount of accidents, injuries, and even deaths.5. Cleaning up debris — Make sure that all employees are wearing and equipped with the proper equipment to clean up any and all debris once the demolition has taken place. This equipment includes gloves, a mask, and work boots. Most importantly, however, make sure that only authorized employees are present during the cleanup and demolition. This stage can be very dangerous, but taking these necessary steps can prevent an array of injuries and accidents.Safety is always the most important thing while doing anything, especially throughout construction or demolitions. By doing these five simple things, you could easily save lives, reduce injuries and make the most of any demolition. And further, we should always hire the best demolition and construction for this type of work. I live in UAE and there are many good and trustable best UAE demolition services available. Hi, My husband suffered a heart attack a couple of weeks ago. We managed to go the hospital without delay and he was treated with a stent immediately and now he is recovering well. Woul anyone know if any group or a club of heart attack survivors or stent patients? It would be interesting to share information, recipes and lifestyle changes. Thank you in advance!

Hi,We are looking for a couple to help us out with Saturday change overs + garden/pool maintenance in JULY 2017 for our vacation home in La Chapelle Saint Jean (Les Maratoux). After this try-out year, we would like to continue this on an annual basis during the summer vacation period. Activities include: managing keys, checking damages if any, changing beds, cleaning of the house and terrace, maintaining the garden and pool, welcoming arriving guests and handling leaving guests. We are looking for a reliable, serious couple that takes pride in welcoming our guests at a high standard and values a very clean as we do ourselves. As we are there during the Eastern holidays, we could potentially meet up then. Anne & Christophe
Dear all, I started to live Brussels from this Apr. I haven't had a car, so normally take a bus with STIB 10 voyages ticket. There may be 2 different bus lines in Brussels, one is 1 or 2 digits (i.e. 3, 42, 80) the other is 3 digits (i.e. 318, 410). Does anyone know if my STIB ticket is available for 3 digits bus line? I hope you could understand my poor English... Thank you, Saku
Tuesday September 20 from 16:30 - 17:00The US Embassy in Brussels has warned the public to avoid a number high profile Brussels locations as a scheduled protest is due to take place tomorrow. Although police will be present throughout, authorities expect the protest to disrupt traffic for the evening commute. The public are urged to plan accordingly, use alternative routes and avoid all protest locations. The protest is for human rights and will also have an anti TTIP theme. Authorities expect 2000-10000 people to attend areas ranging from the corner of Arts-Loi and Rue de la Loi, Schuman Square and the areas around EU buildings. The US Embassy will continue to monitor the situation, and will update the public via an announcement if any new information regarding the protest arises.
