Paying for a rental

We are about to rent out an apartment, potential clients are reluctant to pay the whole amount six weeks prior to arrival! What do we do?? They say they dont know us and are understandably cautious of paying for something they havent seen nor know for sure that its our to rent in the first place. How do we get around this?

| When I used to have rentals, I took a 25% deposit from them and asked them to pay the balance in cash when they arrived. Noone ever had a problem with this. |

Get a deposit to secure the booking. Then decide (and agree) by what time they should pay the balance. All depends on how much you need the booking as to how flexible you want to be. |
