Some asked about this recently. Today I checked with the car park chap and there is no other parking in the area apart from on site. The price for one week is around €64! ouch. So if you dont have any kind neighbours to drop you and pick you up you will have to bite the bullet and pay.
I have received several calls from Movistar recently and actually stuck with the lady on the other end of the phone for a change. In my bad spanish, I gather she was offering me a new Samsung phone, 6810, I think? She said I pay €25 on delivery and just swop the sim card over, so its still pay as you go. I just wondered if anyone else had actually took them up on the offer and if its as straight forward as it seems?
Probably not the right geographic part of Spain, but anyway...... Looking for a Spanish host family (B&B +) for a 2-3 week visit to Lanzarote; parents and 1 child (girl 15), the lattter wanting to improve her surfing skills, the parents wanting to improve their limited Spanish by staying in a Spanish-speaking family. Late July/early August, but also potentially easter-time. Thanks Steve
As Penny put on her poem I decided to put on the poem that Sianee enquired about earlier this week. Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone, prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone, Silence the pianos and with muffled drum, Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come. Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead, Scribbling on the sky the message He Is Dead, Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves, Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves. He was my North, my South, my East and West, My working week and my Sunday rest, My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song: I thought that love would last forever, I was wrong. The stars are not wanted now, put out every one, Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun, Put away the ocean and sweep up the wood, For nothing now can ever come to any good.
I have just been contacted by a friend that arranges many different classes for the British community in our area. She has recently been let down and needs help in putting together a website for Canadas del Romero Social Centre which is close to El Pareton, Mazarron area. They are desperate to raise funds not spend them so is there anyone out there with some free time who could assist this lady as a favour we would be very grateful. Presently I know that they put information on Whats On here on AngloINFO but they would also like to have their own site so they can amend and add information as required. Fingers crossed. Thank you
I read this at my dads funeral a lot of people there said it was uplifting You can shed tears that he is gone Or you can smile because he has lived You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left Your heart can be empty because you can't see him Or you can be full of the love that you shared You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday You can remember him and only that he is gone Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
