Heard of Agramon, Munera or Coral de Almagur, these are the stops on the road to Madrid being taken by three cyclists who are heading for Europe’s highest capital city in a sponsored bike ride from TJ’s on Camposol. The Camposol Three leave the bar on Saturday morning at 8 pm after a 24 hour pool contest and return to laurels but no medals on Sunday 30th September and to a welcome home party in the car park outside TJ’s. They are expected about 3pm. Shaun, Jonathon and the wild Welshman Steve have been in training throughout the summer and are ready to undertake this quite staggering event that because of the motorways takes a route that should present some interesting challenges. Lol and Mark provide the backup and there has been much discussion to how that backup should be provided, particularly as to who buys the first drink. Throughout the summer TJ’s have held fund raising events and together with the sponsored bike ride the proceeds will be presented to PALS (Protection and Life Saving) who are the Mazarron areas oldest registered humanities charity and who have over their 12 years provided the local emergency services and health centres within excess of 170,000Euros worth of life saving equipment. Spokesman for TJ’s stated how pleased they were with the sponsorship and that the return party should be something special, burgers, bangers and beer, music and lots of laughter. There is a draw for a mountain bike value 300Euros donated by Compusurf and lots more to keep you amused. So if you are around on Saturday morning raise your voices and cheer the lads away and certainly be there for the return,Sunday 30th September the bar is open from 11.30am so get on down. The summer of sport is not finished till the bike boys get back.

Well done to everyone involved. PALS do a great job and it is great to see them getting continued local support.
