Age Concern Fuengirola & Mijas
Everyone knows of Age Concern in the uk. Here on the Costa del Sol, Age Concern Fuengirola y Mijas are able to provide advice, help, support and friendship to the over 50´s English speaking expat community in our geographical area regardless of nationality.
Clients, Volunteers, Donors and Supporters are all considered as part of our extended family. So if you like that approach then please get in touch.
All our drop-in centres are places where clients come together to meet old friends and make new ones. There are always things to do - have a chat and a coffee, try your hand at card bingo or have a flutter with our weekly raffle. All with prizes. Add to the mix a monthly lunch club, day trips and special events and there is a full social calendar to choose from.
However, we are so much more than just another social club. We have a hard working hands-on Welfare team who are able to help individuals. Why not pop into any drop-in centre or call our Lifeline on (0034 ) 652537615.
We have finally outgrown our previous home in the Manila bar as client numbers have grown. But we are not far away in Los Boliches. We are now located in the Pensioners building above the small indoor market and around the corner from Los Boliches Train Station. You will find us here EVERY Thursday from 11.00-13.00
We have another drop-in centre at the Oasis bar in Mijas Pueblo. This is located on the main Mijas road as you enter the village. Pass the left turn to the car park and we are on your right. You can find us here EVERY Thursday from 11.00-13.00
Our third drop-in centre is in La Cala de Mijas ( La Cala ). We are located in the main square behind Supersol at El Caballo de Oro ( Golden Horse ). You can find us here EVERY Friday from 11.30-13.00
Please make a note of our LIFELINE number ( 0034 ) 652537615 which is open from 10.00-17.00 weekdays. Calls received out-of-hours will be returned the next working day.
You can use this number to ask any questions about the Charity, Volunteering or how we could help you. We regret that we are NOT an Emergency Service.
