I maintain and repair hundreds of pools up and down the coast for both spanish and brits. We brits enjoy the pool more than the spanish as for most of us we would never have dreamed of owning a pool in the uk.
The problem is we dont understand how dangerous the pool is when children are involved.
Three weeks ago a 5 year old fell into a pool and drowned after trying to get a frog out of a pool. The mother was in the house cup of tea, feet up watching a bit of fern and phil, thinking that the little one was just playing in the mud.
It was all over in a couple of minutes and when mum finished her tea and went to the garden realised there was a problem.
This could have been stopped. i have supplied many pool alarms but find they end up just like a smoke alarm that keeps bleeping(with the battery removed). I have fitted the katchakid cover and have found this to be the best product around i have bought through deep blue pools in alh el grande and every client i that i know that has one is more than happy with this product.
