Thought I should share this with anyone who enjoys their wines. I found a small, only produces around 12,000 bottles a year, winery in Amargeti. Hidden away in a secluded garden I was treated to some of the finest wine I have tasted so far on the wine route. The Eleonoras winery, owned by the most gracious Chris, is lovely. Chris speaks perfect English and does all of the work himself. I loved being shown around, sitting in the dappled sunlight, fish ponds tinkling and drinking his fine Mattaro - Maratheftiko Red. Tastings are by appointment only at the moment but I do have the phone number for any one interested. This winery is well worth the visit.

Hi,  I go to Amargeti regular from Limassol to visit The Kalamos Winery and was there quite recently.  However, despite knowing most of the wineries around that area I have yet to find the winery you have mentioned.  Where exactly is it please?  Ginty

If you know the coffee shop (Stella's) from there it is a right turn down past the post office about 100 yards. but would recommend that you phoned first, Chris Kaiser 99603679 ok 1405365675

Thank you for the directions.  I must get out and walk round the village instead of driving straight in and out again.  Always in a rush!

Hi There, we are visiting next month (OCT) 2014 on an inspection visit, to look at our future house to retire to... :O)  Please can you explain the nearest town to this winery as we would love to visit, just can't see it on map....  Thanks.... Belinda x

The nearest village is of course Amargeti, turn off the airport road for Agia Varvara, and follow the road upwards, Amargeti is signposted on the left. I would suggest you call the winery if you intend to vend to visit. The phone number and email are posted earlier.
