Weaponry Museum
Hosts display of weapons and artefacts dating back to the 16th century. Also collection of ceremonial swords. Located in the Al Luqta area. Open mornings, Sunday to Thursday, by appointment only.
Islamic Arts Museum
Has a rare collection of Islamic artefacts made of clay, base metals, valuable metals, wood and glass, also a library, a multi-purpose hall and an educational section. Check website for opening hours. Located in Doha Corniche
Qatar National Museum
Displaying geological history of Qatar, Islamic artifacts and relics. Also a maritime museum and small lagoon where traditional wooden boats are built. Open 09.00 to 12.00 and from 16.00 to 19.00 except Saturdays. Located in Doha Corniche.
Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art
Exhibitions, programs and events that explore and celebrate art by Arab artists, with a cafe and a library, located in a converted school building on the edge of Education City off Al Luqta Street.
Arab Postal Stamps Museum
Arab League stamp collection with over 280,000 stamps from over 20 Arab countries. At Katara Cultural Village, Building 22, Doha.
Orientalist Museum
Significant collection of Orientalist art in the world, including water colours, drawings and prints. Visits by appointment only.
