Early 19th Century Antique French Country Style Oak Trestle Dining TableEarly 19th-century massive French country style dining table, or as they call it here - a monastery table. This massive table was entirely hand-crafted from solid Oak wood and it was made to last for generations. The table has a 8 cms ( 3 inches +) thick solid plank top with 3 boards and original joints. The base of the table consists of one hand-carved trestle and legs with one stoppers on each end. The table has been beautifully repaired with traditional craft- a work of great skill and art. It has been the centrepiece if some wonderful dinner parties and would grace any dining room and will comfortably seat 8.
