Notaire interpretaition of the law

My three daughters have to return sensitive papers back to my notaire dealing with my house sale and have been told the papers MUST be sent by post as well as email. They have all been sent by email and are now questioning having to send by post. When I asked the notaire why this should be she just said “it’s the law”. Is this correct please??

If the papers had to be signed, then yes the original must be sent.

If not signed, then I am not sure.

Yes they must be sent back and preferably by Lettre Recommandée with Accusé de Réception  aka A/R (a standard form  from La Poste).  This is your proof that the Notaire  received the documents and on what DATE,sometimes all-important
