Musee Chateau dAnnecy
This 13th century chateau houses the regional observatory for the Alpine Lakes and exhibits artwork on the themes of ecology, archaeology and the surrounding lakes. Seasonal opening hours. At Place du Chateau, Annecy (74).
Musee des Beaux-Arts

Musee de la Poterie Savoyarde
Museum of Savoie pottery. Guided tours possible in the summer. Situated at Poterie de la Cote, Evires (74).
The museum presents an evolution of rural life through the reconstuction of traditional dwelling pieces, and modern objects of daily life. Open Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 15:00-18:00, guided tours available. 2 place de la Eglise, Les Houches (74).
Chateau de la Roche du Roi
This extravagant folly was built by the town architect, the elder Jules Pin. A real oriental palace with a dungeon as well as a terrace and balconies. Contact the Tourist Office at the number below for more information. At Aix-les-Bains (73).
Docteur Faure was a pharmacist who lived in Aix-les-Bains. He spent a lot of his time in Paris where he loved to buy art. His collection of mainly impressionist paintings are on show at the museum. At 10 bd des Cotes, Aix-les-Bains (73).
Conservatoire dArt et dHistoire
Art and history museum with paintings and sculptures from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. Open from 09:00-12:00 and 14:00-18:00. Closed weekends during the winter. At 18, avenue de Tresum, Annecy (74).
Musee de lAncien Eveche
Located in the centre of Grenoble, the museum is in a former Bishops palace and houses a collection that tells the story of the Isere region from prehistoric times to the present. Open daily from 09:00-18:00, closed Tuesday morning. 2 rue Tres-Cloitres
