Police arrests & reports - a matter of public record?
1 RepliesIn the USA, the majority of police arrests and records are a matter of public record, meaning that anyone can see them. In smaller towns, arrests are even published in the town news paper. What is the situation here in Geneva? If someone is arrested, is that information public record? If so, who do I ask or where can I find it?

To do a background check on someone, you ask them to get a police report. They file for it at the post office for a small fee. The individual must initiate it. I don't know how you can get police reports on others.
