Are there any Engliosh-speaking tennis groups in the Hamburg area? Not very good so it'd be playing mainly for a bit of fun.

Need something along the lines of a petting zoo / farm where children can go along a feed the chickens / discover rare breed piggies / bottle feed lambs that sort of a thing. Anything like that for kids near Hamburg?

Does Hamburg have the equivalent of Oxford Street? What I mean is, does it have a district full of fashion / designer shops?

Hi moms and dads, my 4-year-old daughter would like to start dance lessons in October, but the teacher needs a few more kids to get the class started. The class will be for 4- to 5-year girls and boys, on Mondays from 5:30pm to 6:15pm. The location is close to the Altona train station, and the teacher, Joanna Joisten, is not a native English speaker, but speaks good English and would like to teach the class in English. Would anyone be interested in joining? This is her web site: http://www.tanzraum-altona.de/tanzraum/vita-joanna, E-Mail: info(at)tanzraum-altona.de

The Poppy Inn, Dempsey Barracks, Husarenstr, 33104 Paderborn Sennelager, will be open from 9 p.m. on 4 August 2014. The lights will go out at 10 p.m. local time.    There will also be a vigil in the Roman Catholic Church, Normandy Barracks beginning at 11 p.m.   For those in other stations you can check with your local GIO if there is a vigil being organised near you.     -----------------------------------   The lamps are going out all over Europe, we shall not see them lit again in our lifetime,  These are the words spoken by the foreign secretary of the time on the 4 August 1914. LIGHTS OUT is an initiative encouraging everyone to turn off their lights between 10pm and 11pm on August 4th 2014 – leaving only a single light or candle for this symbolic act of reflection and hope.  In BF(G) we will be doing this local time.  You can do this in your own quarters or see if there is a local event in your area.  The important thing is that we commemorate and remember the sacrifices made by so many.  I have an electronic pack for those that wish to organise their own vigil.  The Royal British Legion Paderborn Branch will be open on this evening for those that wish to join us.

What's your favourite way to spend a weekend in and around Hamburg? Or maybe for those that spend their weekends sorting out stuff in the house; how would you ideally like to spend your weekend?
