The minimum age when a young person can apply for a driving license in Argentina depends on the type of vehicle:
- From the age of 16: License A1 - Motorcycles up to 50 cc
- From the age of 17: License A21 - Motorcycles over 50 cc and up to 150 cc
- From the age of 17: License B1 - All other vehicles up to a weight of 3500 Kg

In Buenos Aires, an application for a driving license needs to be made in person at the General Office of Licenses and Road Education (Dirección General de Licencias):

Elsewhere in Argentina, municipalities issue the documents necessary for a driving license.

Getting a driving license for minors
The procedure for obtaining a driving license is different for teenagers under the age of 18. More documentation is required.
Until the age of 21, a driving license must be renewed annually.
