Packages
There are three main types of packages available:
- Contract - Where a monthly fee is paid for a fixed number of minutes, texts and data usage. Once the credit has been used up, any additional charges are added to the following month's bill.
- Contract (pre-paid) - Where a monthly fee is paid for a fixed number of minutes, texts and data usage. Once the credit has been used up, extra credit must be bought with recharge cards or various other methods. These types of contracts are generally for a minimum amount of time and cannot be canceled before the end of the contract without incurring penalty fees.
- Pre-paid - Where credit is bought using recharge cards, or through bank or online transactions. There is no monthly bill or fixed contract.
To take out a fixed contract in Argentina, residency and an Argentinian ID document (DNI) or similar documentation are required.
