Itinerant Markets (Ferias Itinerantes)
The itinerant markets of Buenos Aires city provide the different neighborhoods with a variety of products and produce. Each day these markets take place in different locations. There are two types of itinerant markets, Ferias Itinerantes de abastecimiento barrial - FIAB and Ferias Itinerantes de Interés Social - FIIS. FIAB markets have a wider variety of products available which include fruit, vegetables, meat, farm produce, dairy products, fish, organic products, cold meat, pasta, bread, cereals, cleaning products, leather goods, shoes, toys and plants. FIIS markets only sell groceries, fruit, vegetables, fish and bread.

Greater Buenos Aires
The Mercado Central (Central Market) is the main supply center for fruits and vegetables in Argentina, and one of the most important in Latin America. It is open to the public and located in the southwest area of Greater Buenos Aires, two Km from the border of Buenos Aires City.
The market is huge and has hundreds of wholesaler stalls selling fruits, vegetables, crops, dairy products, meat, poultry, eggs and fish.
