Employer Nomination (Permanent) - Subclass 121

This entitles the applicant to permanent residence in Australia and is for highly skilled individuals whose skills are in demand, or whose occupation is on the Employer Nomination Scheme Occupation List (ENSOL).

Terms and conditions

The employer offering sponsorship must have Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) approval and applicants will have six months from approval to lodge an application. The applicant must undergo normal skills assessment from one of the authorised bodies if they do not have two years' work experience (including one year with the nominating employer) unless a high salary (specified by the Gazette Notice) is offered. Applicants must be less than 45 years old.

Business Long Stay (Temporary) - Subclass 457

This entitles the applicant to a four-year temporary visa working for a sponsoring employee. It is for skilled individuals with a diploma, certificate or degree and a minimum of three years' work experience.

Terms and conditions

Applicants must be able to demonstrate at least three years' work experience and education in related fields. Applicants must be sponsored by a company and cannot change employer unless the second employer has applied successfully to take over the sponsorship. Applicants can apply for a permanent visa after two years in the country. Applicants must be less than 45 years old unless they can demonstrate a high level of skill.

Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (Permanent) - Subclass 119

This entitles the applicant to permanent residence in Australia. It is for skilled individuals whose skills are in demand in individual regions of Australia.

Terms and conditions

The sponsoring employer must have nomination approval by DIAC and certification by the regional authority. The applicant must have relevant skills for the position.
