All banks have branches with ATMs and there are POS-terminals in most shops in Baku, as well as in other regions of Azerbaijan. However, it is advisable to carry cash as some shops and restaurants do not accept cards. Cash is also needed for public transport. Most restaurants which are frequented by foreigners do accept credit cards, as do hotels in Baku.

Banks operate from 09:00 to 18:00, while service hours are from 09:30 to 17:00. Banks are closed on public holidays.
