ASAN Service
Find out about Azerbaijan’s one stop ASAN citizen service centres...
The Azerbaijani Service and Assessment Network, more commonly known as the ASAN Service (ASAN xidm?t), is a 'one-stop shop' for citizens and residents who need to access public services.
The ASAN Service was formed in 2012 to make Azerbaijan’s state bureaucracy simpler and more accessible. ASAN’s central principle is to place representatives of different government departments "under one roof". Many administrative tasks, from tax registration to driving licence renewal, can be performed at an ASAN Service Centre or via the ASAN website.
At present, the ASAN Service can be used for:
- Residence permits
- Notarial document certification
- Registering birth, death, marriage and divorce
- Driving licence renewal
- Identity card services
- Land registry applications and real estate services
- State pension services
- Tax registration
- Customs declarations
The government plans to expand the role of the ASAN Service to cover more state departments and more procedures. It is still possible to perform the above processes directly through the relevant department without using the ASAN Service.
