Buying a New Car in Azerbaijan

Information on the paperwork and processes involved when buying a new car in Azerbaijan...

There are a number of dealerships which sell new cars in Azerbaijan and many have English-speaking sales staff. Both petrol and diesel cars are available.

When a car is bought from a dealership, the dealership provides the documents needed for car registration. Some will carry out the car registration procedure (at an extra cost) for the customer. They also service the car during the guarantee period.

Each dealership offers a different package of services. The guarantee period for new cars is usually three years or 100,000 Km, but this can vary, with some dealers offering a five-year guarantee period.

There are also dealers who provide 24-hour road assistance; they come to the aid of the driver if there is a problem with the car on the road, but the area covered may be limited. The service is free of charge, except for spare parts which are used in repairs.
