There are a few organisations providing services specifically for people with disabilities and for parents of children with disabilities in the Flanders region.

  • Flemish Agency for People with Disabilities (Vlaams Agentschap voor Personen met een Handicap - VAPH): This organisation focusses on the participation, integration and equal opportunities of people with disabilities in all areas of life. Its ultimate goal is to provide disabled people with the maximum autonomy for everyday life
  • Flemish Federation of People with Disabilities (Vereniging Personen met een Handicap - VFG): This is an officially recognised social-cultural association and voluntary organisation. VGF provides information on living, legislation, and supports people with disabilities to defend their rights. The association is present in the provinces of Antwerp, Flemish Brabant, East Flanders, West Flanders and Limburg
  • Alpha Help Centre (Alfa Centrum voor Hulp): Organisation training and providing assistance dogs for people with disabilities
