Below find information on the various support organisations and help lines on the Black Sea Coast and in Bulgaria. While some have English-speaking staff and volunteers, there is no guarantee that English will be spoken.

Alcohol Abuse

Alcoholics Anonymous: There is one weekly meeting in English in the village of Chokoba near Krushare, a village on the main road between Yambol and Sliven. Sessions usually take place at 13:00 on Tuesdays, telephone for confirmation beforehand.

HIV/AIDS is a not for profit association providing information on HIV/AIDS treatment schemes in Bulgaria and helping to provide equal access to medical care for HIV-positive people.

Special needs education support

The Karin Dom Foundation in Varna, Centre for Rehabilitation and Social Integration of Children with Special Needs and their Families, works to help social inclusion of children. This NGO provides support to children aged 3 months to 18 and their families. Working with children with physical disabilities, mental disorders, ADHD, autism, behavioural problems and learning difficulties.
